Looks like the reptile population in Tanzania is alive and well. The first guy was tiny like a mouse and pretty spiky. The big yellow guy was like 4 feet long, he lived by our cabana down on the coast. I named him Plasma, the Monitor lizard...get it? Plasma...Monitor. I am so lame. Anyhoo cool lizard photos.
The Red Billed Hornbill provides a noisy early warning system while the Mongoose keeps the occupied termite mound den/nest safe from reptiles and other pesky little buggers. Pretty cool to see to species gettin' along so well, people could learn a thing or two from a funny lookin' bird and a big snake eatin' rat.
