Pass the O2 please...
I know people keep getting their hopes dashed against the rocks over all the doping in professional cycling, me included, and it makes it hard hard to stay invested, be it fan base or financially. This year has found heroes in unlikely places and seen heroes shamed. Regardless Wed. is a stage of the tour that includes three Hors category, read steep as hell, climbs and finishes on the king of them all L'Alp de Huez. Today was brutal and included the highest road in europe. The first person over the summit was the youngest rider in the tour from South Africa who then promptly road off the side of the mountain. Interesting to say the least maybe worth a watch tomorrow if you can, I know O'Rourkes and Duffy's has Versus, just ask them nicely to change the channel to 229 and watch the show.

Giro...

Dave Z, see lead moustache and current US time trial camp and one time Leader...not winner, mind you...of the Tour De' France wrecked out with a broken vertebrae. Christian Vandevelde(sp?) was the first american since Andy Hampsten to wear the Maglia Rosa. Shaky start but then again it is three weeks to Milan and the word on the street is that the last week of the 91st Giro D'Italia is the hardest in recent history. Gratzi

P.S. I am super Glad the Tour de France eliminated the team time trial, TTT. It was never very fun to watch.
